The winner of The Ultimate Fighter 5 Lightweight Tournament, Diaz wants to prove that he is still one of the elites in the lightweight division. After defeating Donald Cerrone via unanimous decision at UFC 141, it clearly showed that Diaz had improved his striking ability. During the bout, he landed 82% of his strikes over Cerrone according to the CompuStrike and is considered his best performance in UFC. On the other hand, Miller is fresh from a win over Melvin Guillard at UFC on Fox 1. He was rocked by Guillard early in the 1st round but beats the odd by making him tap due to a rear naked choke. He was awarded the Submission of the Night.
